National Capital Section Lighting LibraryA resource for members of the National Capital Section. |
The National Capital Lighting Library is intended to be a valuable resource to all members of the IESNA in the National Capital region and is funded through operating revenues of the section. The library contains:
At the start of this project, additional titles are limited, but your section is committed to growing the number of available titles. It is our hope that in time, the IES Lighting Library will grow well beyond the basic set of publications.
Using this website is the best (and the preferred) method to search for and check-out titles housed in the library. To use the library, simply click on the "I AGREE" link at the bottom of this page and browse the publications listings. By clicking on and individual publication, you will be taken to a short sign-out form where you can reserve the chosen publication. A confirmation page will be displayed and you will be sent a confirming email, which will include a sign-out form. Print, sign and date the email message and take it with you to the library where your book(s) will be waiting for you.
Please keep in mind that all library services are run by volunteers. It is expected that you do your part by following the procedures which have been designed to minimize the volunteer's time needed to manage the operation of the library.
The Library is a resource for Ottawa area members of the IESNA. Only individuals who are members in good standing can borrow materials from the library. To access the checkout routine, you will require your IES membership number and the password which was assigned to you. If you haven't received a password, please email webmaster@ottawa.iesna.net and provide your membership number. A password will be sent to you.

Borrowing Limit Each member is entitled to have checked out, at any time, up to 5 titles. This limit cannot be exceeded. When the borrowing limit has been reached, titles must be returned before additional publications can be checked out.
Length of Borrowing Library items can be borrowed for a period of up to 2 weeks from the date that they were ordered online, regardless of when they were physically picked up. In order to provide a valuable service to all of our members, we ask that you return all publications as soon as you no longer require them.
Late Fees Items not returned by the due date will be subject to late fees in the amount of $2.00 per item per day. Late fees will accrue on each outstanding item until a) the item is returned, or b) the replacement cost of the publication has been reached. All late fees must be paid in full before additional titles can be borrowed.
Users must agree with these terms of use. Users who click "Do not agree" will be returned to the National Capital Section home page.
