The Illuminating Enigineering Society is having a birthday
party. Founded on January 10th in 1906, the National Capital Section recently
celebrated the Society's 99th birthday this past January 13th. Special
thanks to event organizers who put together an incredible event, and to
all of our sponsors who provided funds and support. You can view a list
of centennial sponsors an our special thank

for those studying for their LC certification, or for thoseworking on
a project and in need of up-to-date information.
Section Looking for Old Photos and Documents
As part of our committment in the upcoming centennial
celebrations, the National Capital Section is asking all members to look
for any old photo's of people from the IES's past, or from old projects
which you may have been involved with. We'd like to scan these and include
them in a centennial book of IES history. In addition, any information
related to the city's history over the past 100 years would also be appreciated.
You will get any originals back. If you have anything that might help
with this project, please contact Bob
